New York Fashion Week '18
Here are my top 4 NYFW designers and favorite looks from their upcoming collections.
glamorous, seductive, rocker chic.
Each model rocked a semi-messy pulled back pony with a thick, oversized headband, smokey "gothic" eye makeup and oversized, silver hoops. Leopard print? yes. Snakeskin? YES. Animal print purses and shoes? OH, YES. Ford perfectly paired simplicity, with just the right amount of animal print. Who wouldn't feel powerful and bossy AF in one of the collections pant suits? I also love that these looks (just like the one to the right) can be pulled and used as a perfect, comfy going out look even for the average Jo like me. Catch his full collection here.
Check out I. Am. Gia. for a similar full snakeskin outfit to slay the day in.
Floral, Girly, Party-Ready. (Inspired by the Chelsea Hotel)
I may have fan girled a bit over this collection simply because i absolutely LOVE Alice + Olivia.
It's no doubt that Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet is well, nearly flawless, and always slays NYFW; this years show had an interesting twist. It was inspired by the historic Chelsea Hotel. Bendet (with the help of the shared memories from 8 people who had previously lived at the Chelsea), successfully meshed historical elements of the hotel with a touch of bold, hippy, floral vibes.
The teacher in me screamed when I saw this gorgeous, powerful, fierce outfit. Check out the rest of the collection here.
J.crew has the perfect faux snakeskin pencil skirt to get your day moving in the right direction.
Diverse, neon, neoprene, punk hip-hip vibes.

Denim, bold, bright, touch of iris' (inspired by artist Georgia O'Keeffe)
The perfect blend of laid back yet sophisticated plaid and denim inspired looks that can easily be taken from the runway to the streets. This collection also included a few more whimsical, satin pieces that included gorgeous flowing dusters making you wish you had one in your closet, like, yesterday. Selman also included multiple pieces and show designs that incorporated Iris' which was inspired by the American artist Georgia O'Keeffe.
